We Bought THE boat!

Welcome to the first installment of our Boating Blog!
We have always had our eyes on a Ranger Tug. We shopped other boats, new and used. Different style, different price points, etc. But we always had the Rangers in the back of our mind. Then at the boat show, this R29s was on display. We looked at every corner, walked all over it. Sat in every seat. Talked about how “right” it felt. As we were chatting about how it felt. After a little discussion with their sales representative, we heard a good news that this boat is “available.” Most Ranger Tugs are ordered months ahead of time. This one was complete and looking for an owner. She found us!! It had all the options we desired, and it was the color we had wanted for years.
After going to look around the show and do the “serious” talking we decided to go make the deposit and buy that boat!!!!

One of the issues that we had to work out was this – Tracy and I were going to be out of town for about 2 months. We travelled to Taiwan for Chinese New Year, and from there I flew to New York for business. Ranger Tug were be able to store it for a couple months until we both get back home. That wasn’t a problem. They still needed to do a few things to our boat anyway. They still had to bottom paint it and do their “pre-delivery” checks, etc.

After we left the boat show – Still in shock at the fact we bought our dream boat – We went to Arne’s Restaurant in Mukilteo for a late dinner and drinks. A perfect ending to a perfect day. ❤️
Waiting for the days to pass, I think that was the longest 2 months of my life. Sitting in a hotel room in New York I ordered some boat “stuff” from Amazon (don’t drink and Prime !) I also asked the company to install the second chart plotter and galvanic isolator. Once we knew when I would be home, we scheduled our two days of delivery and orientation.
